We are heavily involved in helping out our community
Arrowtown Lifestyle Village - The Good Life Expo (Business Launch)
At Wakatipu Tech Care, we believe that kindness, patience and connection are just as important as technology itself. Our mission is to support our seniors in feeling confident and safe in todays digital world.
Whether it’s setting up a new device, troubleshooting a tricky problem, or learning how to stay connected with family online, we’re here to help! Gently, patiently and with care.
This isn’t just a business for us, it’s a way of giving back to the community we love. Ensuring our older generation feels included, empowered and supported.
Our hope is clear, to not just bring tech support, but also comfort, companionship and connection. Every senior we meet should feel valued, supported, and never left behind.
This project is very close to our hearts and we are continually grateful to share this journey, with our community.

Supporting the community at the Arrowtown Lifestyle Village, Garden Party
We were honoured to represent Wakatipu Tech Care at the 2026 Garden Party hosted by the Arrowtown Lifestyle Village, a wonderful afternoon that brought the community together in the most uplifting way.
With over 435 visitors throughout the day, the village was alive with music, laughter, and vibrant local stalls. It was a pleasure to spend the afternoon speaking with residents and visitors, sharing practical technology advice and offering support, something that sits at the very heart of what we do.
Most inspiring of all, the event raised $13,000 for the Arrowtown Volunteer Fire Brigade, a remarkable outcome that will help support the vital work of this much-valued local service.
Community initiatives like this remind us why we started Wakatipu Tech Care in the first place. To serve, to support, and to stay connected to the people around us.

Treating Our Local Seniors. 〰️
Sponsoring eight of our local seniors to a special night of country music, this past June. Through a nomination based giveaway.
Midnight Chicken and Jenny Mitchell Concert on the night of June 5th, 2026 at Sherwood, Queenstown.
When we learned that Jenny Mitchell would be returning to Sherwood Queenstown, We found ourselves reflecting on the gift we were given there last year, a beautiful evening of music, connection, and joy that stayed with us long after the final song had ended.
Wouldn’t it be lovely if we could pass that feeling on?
So we purchased two additional tickets and invited people to nominate a senior who might appreciate an evening out. We asked for private nominations only; this was never intended to be a popularity contest, nor a campaign measured by likes or followers. It was simply an opportunity to honour a kind soul with an unexpected gesture of care.
What happened next was a gentle reminder of the goodness that exists all around us.
Two tickets soon became eight as friends, colleagues, and generous sponsors stepped forward to contribute. Gifts were gathered, ribbons were tied, and what began as a small idea blossomed into something far more meaningful than we had imagined.
The night was extraordinary. There was no grand stage beyond the one holding the musicians, no fanfare, no expectation of recognition. Yet there was an abundance of something far more valuable: warmth, gratitude, laughter, conversation, smiles that lingered, heartfelt embraces, and moments of genuine human connection.
As we sit reading the beautiful notes and messages we have received, We are reminded that some of life’s richest experiences are not measured by what we receive, but by what we are fortunate enough to give.
Everyone of our lovely seniors had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed the event, it was especially heartwarming to see them chatting and connecting with Jenny and the band throughout the evening. Those small, unhurried moments of conversation made the night feel even more personal, as though the music had opened the door to new connections beyond the stage.
In a world that often moves far too quickly, we want to start creating a moment where people feel seen, valued, and remembered. This evening will remain one of our most treasured memories.
To our friends, colleagues, sponsors, and every person who helped bring this little dream to life, thank you. Your generosity transformed a simple idea into an unforgettable evening.
And to the remarkable Jenny Mitchell and Midnight Chicken, thank you for filling Sherwood with music, warmth, and the kind of magic that inspires others to pay kindness forward. Our hearts are full, with immense gratitude.
